Custom Ceramic Mug: Sketch to Shipment

A custom ceramic mug is one of the most popular promotional and retail products in the world—and one of the easiest ways to build a branded line. Here’s exactly how a mug goes from your idea to a container at your door, so you know what to expect at each stage.

1. Brief Us

Send a sketch, photo, or even a competitor’s mug you like. Tell us capacity (e.g., 300/350/400ml), shape (straight, tapered, with handle style), target price, and order quantity. The clearer the brief, the faster we move.

2. Design and Mold

Our team turns your input into a 3D shape and, if needed, creates a mold. For ODM, we may already have a matching shape in our library, skipping tooling entirely. You review and approve the form before any mass production.

3. Decal and Glaze

Choose a glaze (matte, glossy, reactive) and a decoration method: underglaze print, decal, or hand-applied design. Provide your logo in vector format and specify Pantone colors for accuracy.

4. Prototype

We fire a physical sample for your approval. Check the handle comfort, lip feel, and print alignment. This is the moment to request changes—far cheaper than after production.

5. Mass Production

Once approved, we run your order with in-process QC at every stage: dimensional checks, glaze thickness, decal registration, and a final AQL inspection.

6. Quality Assurance and Shipping

We pack with protective inserts (gift box or bulk), load your container, and handle export documentation. See our import checklist for what to verify on arrival.
